High Performance
- One of the finest wood insulators - R value
of 1.6 per inch.* 1-3/4" of cedar is equal
to an inch of Celotex.

to dry rot fungus.
- Termite resistant - Cedar and Redwood are
the only two woods with this classification.
- Light weight - 1.8 pounds per board-foot.
- Very high workability - Cedar is very easy
to work with either hand or machine tools.
- High durability - classed with woods which
hold paint and stain longest and suffer the
least when exposed to weather.
- Excellent nail holding ability.
- High Dimensional Stability - Cedar has very
little volumetric shrinkage. This is improved
by our process of drying the Cedar to near 0%
moisture content.
- Strength - Stress sag is well within code
limits.
- Fire Resistance - The subjective evaluation
is that cedar tends to char and self-extinguish
when burned in large sections.
